Author Agreement

Read the following author agreement before submitting your work to The Commonline Journal:

When you submit to The Commonline Journal you are agreeing that (a) all submitted work is original and that you are the author of the work, (b) that The Commonline Journal may publish your submission, in whole or in part, after notifying you via email at the address from which the submission was originally sent, and (c) that you've read and agree to the conditions described in the four subsections below:

1. Licence
Most material published in The Commonline Journal is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0), the most restrictive Creative Commons licence. If you'd like to reserve additional authorial rights not covered by this licence please notify the Editors in your original submission.     

2. Rights
All contributors to The Commonline Journal retain the republishing rights for their work. The Commonline Journal will hold Exclusive First North-American Serial Rights ([E]FNASR), First World Electronic Rights, full archival rights (to archive the work indefinitely), and full anthology rights (to republish the work in a future electronic or print anthology) for all previously unpublished material. If material first appearing in The Commonline Journal is later re-published then "The Commonline Journal" must be credited as the original publisher. For previously published material The Commonline Journal will hold Second Serial Rights. The Commonline Journal reserves the right to remove any piece of work from its archives, for any reason, at any time, and without notice. The Commonline Journal does not pay contributors for unsolicited submissions.

3. Editing, Corrections, Acceptances & Rejections
The Commonline Journal edits accepted submissions for grammar and spelling. We also edit accepted submissions to conform to our in-house style guide. If Editors need to edit writing heavily or make significant changes we always contact the author first. If you see a mistake in a piece that we've published just send a note via email and we'll be more than happy to make the correction. The Commonline Journal only responds to authors of submissions accepted for publication. Response time for accepted submissions may be 3-4 months. The Commonline Journal does not offer criticism or rejections of submissions to authors, except in rare cases. By submitting your work to The Commonline Journal you're certifying that you've read and agree to our submission guidelines and this author agreement.

4. Privacy 
The Commonline Journal takes your privacy seriously. We do not, ever, sell or make public your information to any third party.  If you'd like to unsubscribe to our mailing list simply reply with the word "unsubscribe" in the subject line of the email.
