Phone booth. |
by Marc Carver

I walked past the pay phone
and it started to ring.
I asked the man in the motorized wheelchair
if it was for him.
He said no,
so I went and picked it up.
The man said something i could not make out
a name I think.
I told him this was a pay phone
and he said something else i could not make out.
I don't know who I was expecting
maybe god
So
I put the phone down
and walked off.
