Typically So
—a poem by Jason Gallic

Typically So

the smell of
alcohol on
your breath
told of
preparations underway.

the morning
brought headaches
and regret
equally measured.

you stomped anywhere,
searching for a door
to conceal you

from me?

now i'm to own
shots of tequila
and your dignity
while you weep
more shamelessly
than the night
just passed.
