'GET OUT OF MY ROOM'
by Luis Cuauhtemoc Berriozabal

Get out of my room.
I’m a Vet.
I fought a war for you,
motherfucker.

By the looks of him,
I am glad
he was on my side. It
appears he is

still fighting the war.
The Vet was
arrested twice last week
for yelling at

people in the street.
He said he
doesn’t recall kicking
the policeman.

He told the doctor
to send him
to the VA to be
with other Vets.

The voices in his
head screamed out.
The enemy was near,
ready to strike.
