Silence My Sister Jane
— a poem by Binam

The silence my sister Jane was talking about
is in the shape of a floppy sombrero

In this plush moat
lay lillies
& the expansive dreams of newborn babes

She wanted to tell me how much
10 is in love with 1

I said /i dont know what you mean/

and she said,
        /then come sleep naked in my septic tank;
        i know precisely what you need/
