the word of god |
by Marc Carver

Some people knocked at the door
She went to the window and shouted out.
"There is some weird looking woman at the door."
She went to find the keys.
"Leave it, they are probably Jehovahs."
"Could be social services." She said.
"Even more reason not to open it."
I said
As they walked past the window
they looked in at me sat in my chair
with a towel around my head.
She opened the door and they came back and looked at me again.
"Oh no." She said and came back in and shut the door.
Then she went over to the curtain and pulled that across just as the young man was coming back again.
I burst out laughing.
"How must it feel to have everyone closing doors on you and laughing at you and calling you weird. I shouted.
But i guess the Jehovahs are used to it by now.
