Silencio |
by Marc Carver

This silence could kill most men.
Make them rip their hair from their heads.
It is not the silence of a church
not the feel.
It is silence with holes in it.
No music to accompany its longing.
The silence of space,
all it has is a river of time running through it.
An un-tved time.
You could hear a bird flap his wings
in slow motion if you were outside.
Noise is for fools.
Marc Carver has published six books of poetry and works as an editor for a site in New York. He has had about three hundred poems published around the world but most of all he hopes people enjoy his work and it inspires them to pick up the pen and turn the tv off.
