Two Deaths

I trapped the fly
in the drain.
Like a monster
I turned on
the water and killed
the small thing.

I wondered if
this is how
cavemen met
their end as
dinosaurs closed
in on them.

The two deaths were
much less than
similar. I
couldn't see
myself eating a
nasty fly.
